Multicultural action plan
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) Multicultural Action Plan outlines how the department contributes to the Queensland Government's multicultural policy—‘Our story, our future’.
The provision of responsive and accessible transport services assists in addressing barriers for participation in important social and community services for Queensland’ multicultural population. Our action plan recognises this important role.
The policy focuses on 3 priorities for people from culturally diverse backgrounds and for Queensland as a whole:
- Achieving a culturally responsive government.
- Supporting inclusive, harmonious and united communities.
- Improving economic opportunities.
By focussing on these priorities, the Department of Transport and Main Roads will continue to support equality of opportunity for all Queenslanders.
